비스트는 최근 정규1집 '픽션 앤 팩트'로 컴백, 지상파 음악프로그램 1위를 휩쓸며 인기 고공행진 중이다. 하지만 발라드 수록곡 '비가 오는 날엔'의 인기가 심상치 않아 이색 고민이 생겼다.
양요섭은 "'비가 오는 날엔'을 선공개하고 반응이 이렇게 올 지 몰랐다. 타이틀곡 '픽션'보다 인기가 좋더라. '타이틀곡을 잘못 정했나'하고 멤버들끼리 얘기했다"고 밝혔다. 그는 "앨범에 많은 관심을 가져주셔서 감사하다. 언제나 앨범 준비는 열심히 해왔지만, 이번엔 정규 앨범인 만큼 더 노력했다. 팬분들의 기대에 부응하고 싶었다"며 "첫 정규 앨범이 나와 정말 행복하다. 이제까지의 앨범은 이번 앨범을 발표하기 위한 준비단계였던 것 같다. 앞으로 더 좋은 모습 보여드릴 수 있도록 하겠다"고 전했다.
